A Little Bit About Me
I am a spiritual, practicing Muslim with a very adventurous spirt and active lifestyle.

I am a regular Scuba Diver (in non Covid times) abroad and sometimes in the UK (yes it is cold!). I am even trying to learn underwater photography. I have, and hope to continue to, travel widely around the world. I enjoy everything from forest treks, spa breaks, historic sites as well as island breaks. But I am pretty much sworn off anymore high altitude treks after 4 weeks in Peru & Bolivia proved to me i don’t acclimatise well - so base camp is not in my bucket list! Some of my best memories have been close to nature, I think is the true reason i love hiking and diving so much.

My family and friends are the most important part of my life. While I live with myself and my cats, I spend a lot of time with parents and brother who i am very close to. I am very loyal to my friends and am blessed by the support and love they also give me. I have friends from all walks of life, and while i expect them to respect my religion and practices, I equally make no judgement on their choices. Some people call that being “liberal”, I call it being more worried about my own conversation with my Maker, then other people’s.

I try to participate in regular Islamic learning in different guises in order to keep me turning back to the path and inshaAllah help me develop in my deen.

I enjoy good food, both cooking and eating out. And while I can get very busy, I really do enjoy the odd lazy day or evening watching netflix.

Alhumdulilah I have a successful career in digital banking and also get involved in public speaking. While work / career is something to occupy me rather than central to my life, I am grateful for the independence, confidence and self-sufficiency it has given me.
